The Ontario Football Alliance is currently accepting nominations for the follow positions: President & Board Members

The Ontario Football Alliance is currently accepting nominations for the follow positions: President & Board Members (4).
 

President
4.1         President – It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of the Executive Board of Directors and Meetings of Members and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees.  The President shall perform such other duties as are necessary for the proper conduct of the office of the President. 
 
“President – Any individual holding office as President of the Association, who is also President of an Ordinary Member shall resign the office as President of the Ordinary Member within seven (7) days of his/her election or appointment as President of the Association. In the event that the President fails to resign his/her office as President of the Ordinary Member, the individual will be deemed to have vacated office as President of the Association.”
 
Board Members 
Four individuals within the following but not limited to competencies. 
Law, Human Resources, Fundraising & Sales, Medical Sport Science & Safety, Public Relations, Risk Management, Business. 
 
4.2         Terms - Elected Directors will serve terms of two (2) years and will hold office until their successors have been duly elected in accordance with these Bylaws, unless they resign, are removed from or vacate their office.  A Director may serve a maximum of three (3) consecutive terms, unless a special request is made to, and approved by the Board of Director to extend the number of years of the term or the number of maximum terms.  
 
4.3         Standard of Care – Every Director will:
a)    Act honestly and in good faith with a view to the best interests of the Corporation; and
b)    Exercise the care, diligence and skill that a reasonably prudent person would exercise in comparable circumstances.
 
Eligibility Requirements
 
Any individual who is eighteen (18) years of age or older, who is not un-discharged bankrupt, who has the power under law to contract and is not a member of OFA, may be nominated for election as a Director. 
 
Please submit your resume outlining your qualifications to Executive Director, Tina Turner, director@ontariofootball.ca or 7384 Wellington Road 30, Guelph, ON N1H 6J2 no later than February 15, 2019.  All applications will then be reviewed by the Nomination Committee.
